This beautiful trek is an adventure you will share with many that flock to the Annapurnas to experience it. Maybe you’ll make a friend, maybe you’ll stick to your own. Either way, it is an adventure of a lifetime and should not be missed.

It’s a 25 minute flight or a 7 hour drive. Either choice is worth it. Pokhara is an amazing city. Much cleaner and greener than Kathmandu, it is a great city for a number of reasons. There are adventure sports like paragliding, zip-lining, bungee diving here, while it’s also a great destination to just chill by the lake in its center.
Today, you will start trekking. First you drive to nearby Khudi, then walk to Sirung, mostly uphill till you reach an elevation of 2200 meters.
About six hours of walking will take you to Jagat. It is a much easier day, mostly downhill to an elevation of 1300 meters.
It’s a longer trek today, but you’ll make it in seven to eight hours until you reach Dharapani at an altitude of 1960 meters.
Five to six hours of trekking will take you to CHame at an elevation of 2710 meters. It is more uphill today.
We’re getting closer to the mountains now. At 3300 meter, you will start seeing the beautiful mountains along the way getting closer. A six hour trek will get you there.
Manang is a larger village and many people cometo experience Manang alone. There are other diversions from Manang, like ice lakes and caves, and if you want, you can request additional days to stay here.
Acclimatization is important at these altitudes. So take a day off from straightforward trekking, leave your belongings in your room, carry some water and explore the nearby spectacles. It’s always a good idea to climb high and sleep low.
Today, you’ll trek for only about 4 hours to Yak Kharka which stands at 4110 meters.
Trek for about 4 hours to get to the base of the Thorung massif called Thorung Phedi at 4600 meters.
Today is the highlight of your adventure and it is going to be a strenuous day. Get to the top of the Thorung pass, take your pictures, and celebrate your victory in Muktinath, a larger village with some places to choose from.
Jomsom is a large town and you will have fun here. At 2700 meters, a six hour trek will take you there.
Fly or drive back to Pokhara today. Your long trek is over and you’ve completed it. Celebrate in one of the bars in Pokhara. It’s a twenty minute flight, or a 9-10 hour drive. You choose.
Wake up early in the morning to go see the sunrise from Sarangkot, a popular destination from where you can see beautiful Himalayan mountains up close. It is a sight to behold. Massive snowy peaks, green hills, and a great view of Pokhara on the other side make it a truly worthwhile experience. Go back to your hotel for breakfast. In the afternoon, go see Devi’s Falls, an underground waterfall which is spectacular, especially during the monsoon season. Depending on the season, you can also go to a cave nearby and descend to see the waterfall up close. In the evening, go to the World Peace Pagoda, a Buddhist Stupa that overlooks the city of Pokhara and the Fewa Lake. The stupa is beautiful in itself and the view from this area is mesmerizing. If you want, you can make arrangements to stay an extra day in Pokhara and wander the “lakeside” or indulge in adventure sports.
Fly for twenty five minutes or drive for about 8 hours back to Kathmandu. Enjoy your farewell dinner, an authentic Nepali meal.
